Product photos come from everywhere: phones, cameras, suppliers, marketplaces, and design tools. They arrive in different sizes, different backgrounds, and different product ratios — and when you upload them to your store, the result looks messy. Our free bulk product image standardizer fixes that in one pass. Give every product photo the same canvas size, background color, product scale, and padding. Choose a one-click preset for Shopify, WooCommerce, Amazon, or Daraz — or set custom values. Everything runs in your browser.
A store catalog is a grid. When images in that grid have different sizes, different backgrounds, and different product scales, the store looks amateurish — even if the products are excellent. Uniform images signal professionalism, improve browsing, and lift conversion rates.
Every product appears at the same canvas size, centered the same way, on the same background. The grid looks designed, not assembled.
Shoppers judge product quality from photos. Clean, uniform images reduce doubt and lift add-to-cart rates.
Amazon, Daraz, and other marketplaces reject images that violate size or background rules. Presets keep you compliant.
Manual canvas resizing in Photoshop is slow. Batch standardization takes seconds per file and works on hundreds at once.
Square canvases with padding work well on every device — from phone grids to desktop zoom views.
Uniform output pairs well with compression — combine this with our Image Compressor to keep page speed high.
Each marketplace has its own rules. These are the settings most sellers should use in 2026.
| Platform | Recommended size | Background | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Shopify | 2048 × 2048 | White or transparent | Square works with every theme. Supports zoom. |
| WooCommerce | 1200 × 1200 (min 600) | White or transparent | Retina-friendly. Square avoids layout shifts. |
| Amazon | 2000 × 2000 (min 1000) | Pure white #FFFFFF | Main image must be pure white — no exceptions. |
| Daraz | 1000 × 1000 | White or light | Clear focus, consistent padding. |
Note: Marketplace guidelines change. Always confirm the latest requirements in the official seller help center for Shopify, WooCommerce, Amazon Seller Central, and Daraz Seller Center.

Ecommerce competition is visual. On a collection page, shoppers scroll through dozens of thumbnails in seconds. When those thumbnails have inconsistent sizes, mismatched backgrounds, and products at wildly different scales, the store looks chaotic — and shoppers leave. Standardization is not a cosmetic nicety. It is a conversion lever.
A standardized product image has four properties in common with every other image in your catalog:
When all four are equal, the store grid looks intentional. When any one is off, it doesn't. This tool guarantees all four in a single batch run.
Padding is the empty space around the product inside the canvas. Too little padding and products feel cramped, especially on mobile grids where images are small. Too much padding and the product looks tiny on the product detail page. A good default is 5–8% padding for most marketplaces. Amazon tolerates more generous padding because it wants the product centered. For high-fashion brands, 10–12% padding looks editorial.
Scale and padding are related but different. Scale controls how large the product is allowed to appear inside the padded area. Padding controls the safe zone around the product. If you set scale at 100% and padding at 5%, a wide product (like a sofa) will touch the safe zone edges. If you set scale at 80% and padding at 5%, it will have breathing room. Most sellers should start with scale 90% and padding 5%.
Marketplace rules are strict for main images. Amazon requires a pure white background (RGB 255, 255, 255) on the main image and rejects images that fail. Daraz requires a white or very light background and recommends 1000 × 1000 px. Shopify and WooCommerce are more permissive but still benefit from square canvas and consistent presentation. Using presets in this tool ensures your batch stays compliant.
When you need Amazon's product image requirements in detail, check Seller Central. For Shopify product media and WooCommerce image resizing, their official docs cover edge cases.
More than 70% of ecommerce traffic comes from mobile in most markets. Mobile product grids are often 2–3 columns wide, meaning each thumbnail is displayed at 150–200 px. At that size, the difference between a poorly-framed photo and a well-standardized one is stark. Square canvases with consistent padding read beautifully at small sizes; inconsistent ones do not. If you also compress your images with our Image Compressor, page load times improve alongside the visual polish.
For product photos, JPG is the safest default — small files, universal support, and good quality at 90%+. Use PNG when your background is transparent (for example, when you want the store theme to show through). Use WebP for modern marketplaces and ad platforms that accept it — it typically shaves 20–30% off the same image. This tool supports all three as output.
If you want to explore conversions further, the Bulk JPG to PNG and AVIF Converter tools cover specific format journeys, and the All-in-One Image Converter handles dozens of source formats.
You don't need separate photo shoots. Upload the same batch of product photos, apply the Amazon preset, download. Then re-upload the originals, apply the Daraz preset, download. Then a third time for Shopify. This workflow produces three platform-ready sets from one source folder, which is exactly what multi-channel sellers need.
It does not remove backgrounds — that is a separate workflow handled by a dedicated background remover. It does not crop your images — products are always preserved whole. It does not perform AI retouching or color correction. For those, use the Image Enhancer or a background removal tool before or after standardizing.
Imagine a store with 40 product photos from four suppliers. Before standardization: mixed sizes (between 800 × 600 and 4000 × 3000), mixed backgrounds (some white, some gray, some lifestyle scenes), and products at inconsistent relative scales. After standardization: 40 images all at 2000 × 2000, pure white background, scale 90%, padding 5%. The catalog grid now looks curated. Product pages look consistent. Conversion typically improves by 5–15% in direct comparison tests — though results vary by niche.
Drop your product photos in the tool above, pick a platform preset, and download uniformly standardized images in seconds. No signup, no watermark, no upload.
