Spreadsheets are not always shareable. Colleagues don't have Excel installed, clients don't want to download attachments, and some platforms don't preview XLSX files at all. Our free Excel to JPG converter turns your workbook into clean, shareable images — one JPG per worksheet, automatically split. Upload an XLSX or XLS file, preview each sheet, choose the quality and scale, and download the results. Everything happens in your browser; your spreadsheet never leaves your device.
A spreadsheet is a working document. An image is a shareable artifact. When you convert a sheet to JPG, anyone can open it on any device, in any chat, with no software or compatibility worries.
Post a JPG in Slack, WhatsApp, email, or a blog — no one needs Excel to view it.
An image can't be accidentally edited. Perfect for reports, invoices, or approved snapshots.
Render at 2× or 3× scale for sharp, printable images without fiddling with Excel print settings.
Drop a table image into PowerPoint, Figma, or Canva without exporting the whole workbook.
Share one sheet as an image without exposing the other tabs, formulas, or hidden columns.
No need to open Excel, resize columns, set print areas, and export to PDF then to image.
Paste summary tables into weekly reports, decks, and emails as crisp images.
Share class timetables, grade tables, or attendance sheets with students on any platform.
Post price lists, product tables, or hours of operation to social media.

Excel files hold more than just data — they hold layouts, formulas, hidden rows, cell comments, merged ranges, and conditional formatting. When you convert a spreadsheet to an image, you get a snapshot of what the sheet looks like, not what it computes. That distinction matters for a few things.
The converter renders the values that Excel has saved in the file. If a formula was calculated and saved, the image shows the calculated result. If the file was created by a tool that writes formulas without calculating them, some cells may appear blank or show #VALUE! errors. If you need guaranteed-fresh values, open the file in Excel, let it recalculate, save, then convert.
Merged ranges are preserved. A merged title row stays merged in the JPG, with the text spanning the full width.
Charts and embedded pictures inside the spreadsheet are not rendered. The converter focuses on cell data — this is the right choice for tables, schedules, price lists, and reports, which are what most users want. If you need to include charts, take a screenshot of Excel, or export to PDF first.
JPG is smaller and more universally supported for sharing. For spreadsheets — mostly text on white backgrounds — PNG can sometimes be smaller and sharper. If your workflow needs pixel-perfect text, try the PNG converter afterwards, or use the 3× scale in this tool to get sharper output from JPG.
JPG text looks sharpest when you render at higher density. A sheet rendered at 1× scale is fine for chat previews. 2× is the sweet spot for reports, emails, and presentations. 3× is for printing or for embedding into a high-resolution document. File size roughly doubles with each scale step, so start at 2× and only go higher if needed.
Because everything happens client-side, your workbook never touches a server. This matters for HR sheets, payroll tables, client data, and anything else you would not upload to an unknown endpoint. You can even disconnect from the internet after the page loads and the conversion will still run.
Both XLSX (Excel 2007 and later, the modern zipped-XML format) and XLS (Excel 97–2003, the older binary format). Google Sheets exports should be downloaded as XLSX first. Numbers files must be exported to XLSX before uploading.
It does not edit your spreadsheet, calculate formulas, render charts, or convert back to Excel. It is a one-way export from spreadsheet to image. For the reverse direction — OCR-ing a table image back into cells — use a dedicated OCR tool.
Upload your Excel file above, preview every sheet, and download clean JPGs in seconds. No signup, no watermark, no upload.
